The founder and director of <em>IIP<\/em>, he specializes in the social history of Jews in antiquity.  He is the author of many articles and books, most recently <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Bible-Became-Holy-Michael-Satlow\/dp\/0300171927\/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&amp;keywords=how+the+bible+became+holy&amp;qid=1635260936&amp;sr=8-2\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Bible-Became-Holy-Michael-Satlow\/dp\/0300171927\/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&amp;keywords=how+the+bible+became+holy&amp;qid=1635260936&amp;sr=8-2\">How the Bible Became Holy<\/a><\/em> (Yale University Press, 2014), which has been translated into Italian and French.
